The PROMAM67 adapter enables the use of Mamiya RB67 and RZ67 lenses on our BALPRO-series universal bellows (BALPRO 1, BALPRO T/S, and CASTBAL-PRO). It comes with a dedicated aperture control clamp, allowing precise stopping down of the connected lenses. The clamp attaches to the depth-of-field preview lever and is secured in the cable release socket. Please note: the lens leaf shutter must be cocked manually.
Thanks to the large flange distances of both systems (RB = 111 mm, RZ = 108 mm), even shorter focal lengths can now be focused to infinity – for example, the Sekor 4.5/50 mm and 4.0/65 mm lenses from the RZ lineup. The 65 mm lens is also available with floating elements for enhanced image quality. These lenses are particularly suitable for studio work when used with the CASTBAL-PRO bellows and the CASTEL-MICRO motorized focusing rail – forming a high-end focus stacking solution for product and macro photography.
Longer focal lengths such as 180 mm, 210 mm, and 250 mm can also be used effectively – for the first time without the need for extremely long bellows extensions, extension tubes, or complex combinations of bellows, as often required when using large format or enlarger lenses.
Mamiya RB and RZ lenses are widely available on the used market, offering a high-quality and cost-effective option.
