Tilt adapter for CB5 and CB5 II w. Q=BASE II Quick release unit
Product information "Tilt adapter for CB5 and CB5 II w. Q=BASE II Quick release unit "
With the CB5-TILT tilt bracket, the longitudinal axis of a ClassicBall 5 or 5 II can be locked. This ensures that the horizon remains perfectly level when the tripod is properly leveled, and it simplifies dynamic shots by allowing smooth horizontal panning. The friction adjustment on the ClassicBall 5 allows you to fine-tune the resistance of vertical movement to your preference. This makes the CB5-TILT ideal not only for panoramic shots but also for tracking moving subjects. Depending on which of the two locking screws on the ClassicBall is loosened, the ClassicBall can function as a 1-way or 2-way tilt head, making it equally suitable for both photo and video applications. In addition, the tilt bracket features three ¼” threaded holes for attaching accessories.
Installation is very straightforward. Either a Q=MOUNT or Q=BASE II quick release clamp must be mounted on the ClassicBall 5 to serve as the base. This clamp then holds the tilt bracket. Using a hex key, you simply loosen two adjustment screws, and insert the tilt bracket into the portrait format cutouts on the left and right of the CB5 or CB5 II, thereby locking the ball’s movement along the longitudinal axis. Thanks to the third cutout on the CB5, portrait orientation remains possible. A square recess on the underside of the clamp, combined with a raised section on the tilt bracket, prevents the upper clamp from rotating. To position the quick release clamps, there are four locking positions at 90° intervals.
